Roush Opens Tech Center for Electric, Autonomous Vehicle Systems

Roush Enterprises Inc.’s Roush Industries has opened a 44,000-sq-ft technical center in Troy, Mich., that will focus on testing and developing systems—including software and data analytics—for autonomous and electrified vehicles.
The company expects to employ 150 people at the facility, including about 20 who have already been hired. Gary Rogers, Roush’s vice president of advanced engineering, will lead the team.
Based in Livonia, Mich., Roush Industries provides engineering, testing, prototyping and manufacturing services to the auto industries. The Troy location was chosen to support customers such as General Motors and the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research and Development Center in Warren, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Auburn Hills.
