The auto industry’s pursuits of electrification, autonomous driving and next-generation manufacturing are driving a record pace of engineering activities at IAV Automotive Engineering Inc., says Kody Klindt, product development director, Powertrain Systems.
IAV is helping carmakers and suppliers digitize the product development process so they can test and validate design changes virtually before committing to production. Klindt notes that IAV also is developing 3D-printed engine parts such as pistons and cylinder heads
